About Us
Paul
and Mireille Leroux came to the United States with the goal of
expanding their election software solutions and hardware distribution
company to include doing business between America Africa. For
well over a decade, Paul and Mireille have worked tirelessly to
bring technical solutions to Africa in an attempt to empower and
to educate under-served populations. In Africa, a persistent need
exists for completely transparent and efficient election infrastructures.
There is also a great need for high quality and easily accessible
computer hardware and software.
As a young graduate in 1988, Paul Leroux and
his partner, Dolo Foamed, founded TATA Informatique.
They saw the role that computers would play in the burgeoning
global economy. They knew if Africans were going to do business
in this highly competitive landscape, they would need easily accessible
high quality equipment. At this time TATA also became acutely
aware of the growing framework of democracies that had begun to
proliferate throughout the nations of Africa. As a result, the
Leroux's company decided they would focus all their attention
on improving the election processes of developing African nations
in hopes of creating more transparent elections.
In 1991, Paul Leroux was joined by a third partner,
Kolo Mody Sy. TATA Informatique then became TATA Groupe. Since
1994, TATA Groupe has been instrumental in the smooth management
of several African elections. TATA soon began to specialize in
data management on a very large scale, which required highly refined
logical systems. There were some very difficult problems to solve,

the occasion with one effective solution after
another. TATA became known as the leading specialists in data
processing for government elections. TATA has been particularly
effective in Mali, where they have installed an automated computer
system to manage all election results. It was a technical challenge
that required several players; and thanks to TATA's talented team,
Mali was able to efficiently manage their elections through the
powerful software solution that TATA created. To date, this is
one of TATA's greatest sources of professional pride. This perfectly
demonstrated TATA's motivation to improve the quality of life
in Africa.
TATA found it was growing rapidly; and before
they knew it, they were one of the largest computer services and
hardware providers in Mali.
Today TATA employs more than fifty people, twenty of whom are
top executives with years of professional experience. TATA's many
qualified designers, engineers, technicians and executives were
trained in well-known computer factories and computer companies.
TATA has always strived to hire employees who possess real-world
skills that can help support our movement to improve local economies.
The provision of high quality, cost-conscious
computer solutions has always been TATA's way of meeting the need
for technical support and the need for a fully functional pipeline
of free flowing computer products and solutions. TATA Groupe and
COMPParadise's dream is to bridge the digital divide
that exists in Africa today and to empower all African people
to participate in the digital revolution and in the democratic
process. In this way, not only do African people reap the economic
and social rewards, but the whole world benefits from healthy
African economies. This is a win-win proposition for everyone.
